According to the Happy Cow website’s statistics, 2018 is set to break a record for the most vegan restaurants added by year since 2007.
Founded in 1999, the popular online resource for finding local vegetarian and vegan restaurants, shops, and cafes around the world has been recording the number of restaurants added each year.
And currently, a reported 1031 businesses have opened so far this year, rising from 968 since our original Instagram post several days ago!
We’re only half way through the year, so at this rate, the number of vegan restaurants that have opened will fly past last year’s record total of 1919.
